One of the treasures of my childhood memories is my Grandma and her special home. I can never forget my Grandma's yard and all of her outdoor lawn and garden furniture as long as I live. I have so many special memories of her and her love for outdoor living. One in particular is going to stay with her in the summer and sitting with her on the outdoor furniture and her patio furniture. One special place was sitting in the wooden porch swing with her on the patio under the garden arbor covered with grape vine. I can still remember how particular she was about her outdoor lawn and garden furniture and her patio furniture being in just the right place in the yard and around the gardens. She had every kind of lawn and garden furniture and patio furniture that you can imagine in her front and back yards; wooden garden benches, tables, porch swings, garden arbors, adirondack chairs, just to name a few.
Grandma's back yard was BIG and she loved flowers and plants of every kind. The wooden bench had to be just right under the apple tree. The adirondack chairs were under the pear tree with a wooden table between them. She even had a porch swing on top of her cellar.
She loved garden arbors. Her garden arbors were covered in some kind of vine or greenery growing. Grandma's yard was like something that you would see in an outdoor living magazine and to a kid it was like a fairy tale place. It was my special fairy tale place. I wasn't aware of how special all of her outdoor lawn and garden furniture was until I was grown and Grandma was in Heaven.
Now with a home of my own I too love the outdoor living. I love all the wooden benches, the garden arbors, porch swings, adirondack chairs and have them in my home and garden just like Grandma. They all are special to me because they remind me of my her. Anytime that I am able to sit outside under the garden arbor in the wooden porch swing, in the lawn furniture out around the bird bath or the adirondack chairs up on the deck I cherish that time. It's a reminder that now I am building memories of my own with my own family just like my Grandma did with me.
